Ponstructor beta release!

Since the last post I’ve been quietly working on a real good version of the bridge builder game for flash.  Take a look at the result after the ‘Continue Reading’ link and tell me what you think, (or if you spotted a bug) in the comments.

    Addicting, flaws I saw were you could add a point anywhere, defeats the purpose cause you will always win, after like the 7th level the level goes away, sometimes the bridge disappears?, and the car needs more weight or add a semi, train, etc., cause the car hops and sometimes goes backwards.

      Great ideas and thanks for the comments, I’m working on the flaws/bugs, one is caused by a bug in the flash player versions lower than 9.0.28.0. For the rest I can say that I am working on adding better collision detection (also increases reallistic strain on the bridge) and stability. But the problem with the stability flaws is the difficulty involved in replicating them. The levels will be fixed soon as well, I can add as many cars as I want and there are a few levels that need some fine tuning.

    umm, on level three the car started bouncing vertically higher and higher, and eventually went off the screen. Meanwhile the bridge deck was relatively flat.

      You’re right, and I’ve been working on that problem for quite some time now… I completely rewrote the collision resolve function but there are still a few problems ocurring, as soon as I get it right I’ll release the game. But for now progress is slow and complicated.
